[AusNOG] Flooding in Rockhampton - What can AUSNOG do?

Carnarvon/Gascoyne was mentioned as another possible location to have an
AusNOG (awareness) event/fundraiser if it was ever agreed to have a
meeting somewhere other than Sydney.

Smaller venues/towns may not appear too appealing, possiby because
they're smaller, but the local businesses who you'll descend upon for
accomodation, food, souvenirs and other things will love your money
being spent locally, especially after floods!

The rest of it has already been taken off list.

I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Cheers from warm, wet Broome
(about as far North West from Sydney as you can get :)

Bushfires, floods, etc ... It isn't like they happen rarely... These things are happening all the time, and the Australian government should be focusing on all the issues here as a priority. When our backyard is good, then focus elsewhere.
