General question here (and not having a go at Tom), but why do people
request responses off-list for relatively trivial things?

Requests for assistance, sure thing, but I wouldn't have thought
recommendations for a 3G Provider with Static Public IP are sensitive
enough that they they can't be shared with the rest of the list - and,
if someone feels so inclined, you can always change the To: field with
relative ease.

I for one would also be interested to know if there are providers out
there offering such a service! :-)

Hi,

Wondering if anyone can provide a 3G data service (SIM only) in
Melbourne with a static, public IP address. This will be used for a
small embedded application in a home. 1GB/month quota should be
sufficient.
