You could check out the Opengear stuff: http://www.opengear.com/product-acm5000-g-spec.html this one does CSD.

Telstra are still doing GSM - but all the investment is going Next G (CDMA was the one they canned a few years back now).

Subject: [AusNOG] 3G modem for remote dial-in access

Is anyone aware of a 3G modem that can be used for dial-in access, e.g. to connect you to a serial port on a console server? Ideally Telstra would be the carrier as the locations are very remote.

I have a situation where the most economical way to have OoB access to a site is only going to be via mobile, but IIRC Telstra are not doing GSM any more? Or am I wrong?

And this would also require CSD right, do any 3G operators even do CSD on 3G?

Ive been looking at http://www.mobiledata.com.au/Siemens-TC65.asp but it doesnt mention 3G, only GSM.

TIA

Tom
