Speaking of Atlasssian - if your documentation is currently a bunch of sporadically dotted winword documents (I think we've all been guilty of this at one point) then try out Confluence: we've just implemented it here and it is fantastic. It's everything good about a wiki and everything good about a DMS all rolled into one! They've even got a $10 for 10 user special on at the moment if you want to try it out. Send me an email if you want any hints or are interested in how we structure our documentation.

Atlassion was a great venue, will ask my work if they would permit it! its in prymont though, just after the darling harbour walk bridge.
