Dawood,

There are currently no known issues regarding mac OSX connectivity with the SA appliance on current software versions, and mac OSX has been supported for a long time. The latest software has extended even further support for Mac OS X 10.6.x software releases.

refer: http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/ive/6.x/releasenotes/SA-SupportedPlatforms-65.pdf

Please check that you have an up to date version of the IVE OS installed on the 4500 appliance.

The Secure access release notes available with each software release confirm exactly what is supported, compatible and qualified for use in conjunction with the Secure access appliance.

Please check with your Systems Engineer who supplied the demo kit, to ensure that it is running the current 6.5r2 version. If not, have them upgrade the device for you with the latest binary, (you can check this in the admin UI) which also includes Snow Leopard support, and will allow you to accurately evaluate and compare the devices.

Also make sure you have updated your Mac OS X software with software update to include the latest mac OS X security patches.

The SA4500 is extremely feature-rich and I am sure it will more than adequately cater to your requirements. There really is no comparison.

regards,

Joe B
