Get a scanner and see if someone is using unauthorized 800/900Mhz Gear.

Voda is at the edge of spectrum and I've heard rumours over a few beers that some unlicensed wireless gear regularly knocks Vodafone spectrum for a 6. Next step is for Voda to find you, and send you a stern letter.

Subject: [AusNOG] Vodafone 3G/Edge fail

Hey all,

I am about to ring up and have a go at Vodafone about our coverage here in Castle Hill which seems to have gone bad in the last few weeks.

All our handsets (over a dozen) that were displaying 3G, are now showing 'EDGE'.

I thought I would gather some more technical understanding on what that could mean from you guys before I started harassing them.

It would also help if anyone knows where I should start harassing them as opposed to starting with frick'n Lara.

Thanks all.
