Assuming society decides that this is actually a problem
which needs to be addressed... would you rather the .gov.au
tackled this issue with legislation, regulation and the
courts or alternatively an education campaign, liaison with
equipment vendors to ship their products in a secure state
and a gov-funded web site leading users through the process
of securing their networks and communications?

As an aside, assuming some small portion of society decided
that all RC material should be banished from the interwebs
in Australia would you prefer the .gov.au tackled this issue
with legislation, regulation and the courts or perhaps an
education campaign and provision of free filter software to
anyone who wanted to be protected?

This is the thin edge of a wedge, and you know how
politicians love a wedge.
