If you have a second ADSL link (which you mentioned as a possibility)
you can just use two Cisco 877 modems with HSRP/VRRP.  Using IOS SLAs
you can use arbitrary definitions of a link being 'down'; e.g. whether
the ISPs DNS server is contactable.  I wrote some details on doing
