I don't mind the rant - I intended my post to be a 2 way discussion and not just pro-NBN

Thanks for your thoughts - they highlight what is so great about AUSNOG that there are always 2 sides to the fence, and not necessarily a clear cut choice of which side is best - I was purely stating from a speed perspective, I would rather spend ~$1500 of my tax money on a FTTN, than less on a hybrid network.

The wholesale monopoly side of things, we just have to put faith in the govt/nbnco that they aren't going to f*** us over in the future (uh oh?)
