Dear Michael,

Long cables, restrict airflow, and can create hot spots in the back of a rack....also massive amounts of excess cable at the back of the rack just rack looks ugly.... Basically use the right length cable for the job.

Kindest Regards

Bit of an amateur question, perhaps, but I've never come across these before. What are they generally used for?

(I've cc'd the list in case anybody else was curious)

Hi guys, we are finding it very hard to order IC13 to IC14 (1 x male end 2 x female ends) Short power Y split cables locally, it seems stock in Australia has ended... I can order 1000 of them from China... but 1000 is a tad too much for what we need currently.

Locally you can buy the 2M long y split cables, but these are just too long and messy, the short y split cables are around 30cm in total length which is very handy !

If anyone has stock, I would be interesting in buying them off you, or if you have a name of a supplier with them in stock locally that would be great.

For those that don't know what y split cables look like, here is an example picture.

PS sorry that this post is 100% network related but we need power to power network devices...

Kindest Regards
