[AusNOG] TPG AUS -> EQUINIX SINGAPORE -> UECOMM AUS -> OZSERVERS

Ahh thank you,

I did not have the knowledge to determine physical locale of which IX.

It's corrected itself now, but when it comes back, and it will, I'll check the return paths.

I had assumed the latency was introduced due to distance, but will check return paths when it returns.

Still, that 100ms jump is very odd.

Cheers
-S.

202.167.228.x/24 is Equinix Sydney not Equinix Singapore (202.79.197.0/24).

Just happens to show as an SG registered range. I suspect you're seeing a long return path more than anything - what does that look like?

Hi All,

Is anyone else seeing TPG dump traffic at Equinix in Singapore, or is it just me?

For the third day in a row at midday precisely we're now talking to TPG through Singapore.

TPG -> EQUINIX -> UECOMM -> OZ.

We've lodge tickets with appropriate NOC's, but was curious to see others experiences.

I know I can pad the routes but am interested to see what's occurring.

Visual Trace attached for any that are interested. If not, please ignore this post.

Cheers,
Sean.
