[Off Topic]

Perhaps it had something to do with the AT&T Building evacuation yesterday ?

Matt,

I didn't think so either. I just saw that post on wp and didn't think too much of it myself.

We heard from the Telstra goc. Apparently they had to reroute traffic to get around the issue. They didn't say much more than that. Everything points to a fault on some REACH equipmet.

Roddy,

SMW3 didn't get cut (we have capacity on it to Singapore - no Earthquake reported by our colo in SIN). Our onward capacity to Hong Kong through that area of the world wasn't affected by anything.

REACH have their cable systems but I'm hoping that Reach to the USA from Sydney isn't tied to something near Singapore.

Hey,

From Whirlpool (So don't know how true it is)

I heard an international cable was cut somewhere 70km from Singapore (REACH cable?). Unconfirmed: an earthquake is believed to have caused it.

Apparently there is a cable ship on its way to fix it.

Can't remember where i read it - maybe on here? lol?"

Guys,

I only just checked out Whirlpool this morning and saw there was a blip.
Anyone know what happened?

Cheers
