Perhaps another model ASA could get you by in the meantime?  Even a 
router (2800?) running IOS to bring up the VPN tails so you guys can do 
mail?

Darren's suggestion is a good one.  Get your Account Manager to rattle 
cages.  Cisco might have some ASA's in their Sydney APOC lab or with TAC 
you could get your hands on.

At the very least they could supply you a router and a flock of TAC 
engineers to get whatever cobbled together solution they can come up 
with working.
