[AusNOG] 'X' carrier tethering on iPhone v3.0

I have tested on Telstra & optus.

There has been some issues with going from 2g to 3g on optus. Where tethering appears to 'crash'.

Reconnecting the phone seems to fix this, although sometimes it can be necessary to enable/disable tethering.

Possibly OT but no doubt of interest to some of us.
Anyone with an iPhone using the new v3.0 firmware can enable tethering on Optus right now.

or in your iPhone just go to: http://help.benm.at/help.php
