[AusNOG] [nznog] DSLAM Advice

I have some experience with Zyxel DSLAMs. Both good and bad. Our
VES-1616F VDLS2 DSLAMs works perfect. Hardly any problems and we
usually get good values on copper 1000 meters and below. There are
some models that can handle 100/100 but so far we only have modems
that can handle that speed. We have customer with ~ 500 meters of
copper that can get 50/30 (which is max for that equipment)

Last year we had a modular DSLAM with support for ADSL and SHDSL
modules but they just fucked up all the time. After some discussions
with their technical staff we just shipped all our boxes backed.
