Recently I sent out a call for Technicians in Perth and Melbourne.... we are pretty much cool with those locations now... Perth I have some good guys and Melbourne I got so many responses that I am sure I will find some good people once I go through it.

I now need to find someone in Adelaide to affiliate ourselves with. This is what I am looking for:

- Someone who runs their own business as a integrator type (not someone who works for someone else, or can just do after hours - I got a lot of those)

- Technically proficient. You don't have to be an expert in everything, just good general knowledge of IT and networking and the ability to figure something out if you don't know it. If I have to explain what a subnet is to you, then you aren't what we need. Some knowledge in the following:

o Linux's - be able to do some admin jobs - fsck disks, single user recovery, etc etc

o Windows XP, Vista, Windows 2003 - do networking, debugging issues and so on

o Cisco (Routers/Switches) - be able to console in, go into command mode, do basic changes as instructed by someone in Sydney

o Be generally very competent of DSL technologies - be able to setup cheap routers (Linksys, DLINK, etc), and understand dealing with various ISP's

o Basic wireless knowledge - channels, B/G/A/N, etc

- Someone well presented. Some of our clients are BIG names and we need someone who is well presented, can be discreet, understands confidentiality (need to be able to sign NDA)

- Must have own transport, have typical equipment like laptop, console cables, spare devices, etc). Should have a 3G modem available.

- We need someone who has the ability to offer urgent after hours support

- Well priced

You may already be all of the above as an establish integrator.

I have a job that needs doing today/tomorrow... a quick 15minute job in Norwood - it needs a 3G modem and laptop... please call me on the below if you can do it asap. If you fit into the above and can do it today, even better... and proves your responsiveness ;-)
