Daraco Services is a unique Systems Integrator based in the Castle Hill
area. We are a young and dynamic team who are working with cutting edge IT
solutions on many and varying projects. Due to how well we service our

We are looking for a new member to join our team as there is just so much

This position is to support our recent move into the SME VoIP space. We
require someone who knows Asterisk and VoIP technologies well; can program
some customisations; understands the hardware involved (servers, cards,
handsets, and accessories); can write clear and simple quotes; and can meet
with customers and determine their needs.

Must:
- Technical
o 1+ years experience setting up, configuring and maintaining high volume
Asterisk servers
o Experience with different soft PBX's, especially Asterisk implementations
such as AsteriskNow, Trixbox, etc
o Knowledge of Carrier technologies related to carrying VoIP
o Experience in at least one programming language: PHP, Python, Java, C/C++,
MSQL, MySQL 
o Knowledge of Speech Analytics, SIP, IAX, H.323, SS7 and other VoIP related
protocols
o Knowledge of VoIP codec, i.e. G729a
o Experience with IVR design and implementations, call plans, scripts
o QoS as it relates to VoIP services
o Management of Linux Servers, especially package management related to
Asterisk/VoIP implementations
o Reasonable understanding of TCP/IP networking (subnetting, etc) including
some knowledge of DHCP, DNS and general Microsoft technologies
o Excellent Internet knowledge and how to find things - drivers, technical
information, etc

- Personal
o Communicates well internally (with other staff) and externally (with
customers and vendors) in both verbal and written forms
o Is a team player
o Detailed and accurate
o Ability to prioritise, be proactive, be motivated and have common sense
problem solving skills
o A deep interest in IT itself - if you go home at night and don't think
about IT, this job is probably not for you
o Has career objectives that working with Daraco can achieve - OS or
Platform certifications, etc
o Drivers Licence and have your own transport

- Desirable
o Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Avaya or other PABX/hybrid commercial
offerings
o Windows Server experience with a view to understating VoIP offerings from
Microsoft
o Good skills in writing clear quotes and proposals for customers
