I have received a few questions regarding the dress code for this event.
Whilst we do not wish to be overly prescriptive in telling people what
to wear perhaps the following guide may help:

Operator formal
---------------

- Jeans, Casual pants - OK;

- Suit - Ok... if you really want;

- Tee/Polo shirt - probably most popular, if the logo or slogan may
offend then please use good judgement although ones regarding
politicians that have spent energy trying to ruin/cripple our industry
are probably OK regardless of what they say. Perhaps we can have a
competition to see who can wear the t-shirt from the earliest Internet
focussed conference - I am sure we all still fit into them;

- Shorts - OK;

- Sandals/Thongs (the ones you wear on your feet) - probably not OK -
OH&S usually demands covered footwear (this will most likely be the case
at the dinner venue), still we will have no police on standby so if you
get away with it then all power to you, if somebody gets bitchy at you
then ....;

- Singlets - given this industry's tendency toward portliness, probably
should not be inflicted on the crowd (hey - anybody seen me ? Complaints
to /dev/null).

Cheers,

SB
