	It's rather a coincidence, and I am starting to feel like a pimp
recruitment agent, but business is good for some of my clients, and several
of my ISP customers require a variety of staff right now.

(If someone can forward this to the taz list, it would be appreciated - it

RF Specialist (Central Coast) - Rare Position!

Do you know what a Fresnel zone is? Do you want to work with rapidly
expanding Wireless provider? Like to travel?

One of my clients is a wireless ISP who is looking for an engineer who is
experienced in Radio Frequency technology - specifically how it relates to
wireless networking.  You will be involved in the testing, deployment of
wireless networks all across of Australia.  

Skills:
- Responsible for the role of RF (Radio Frequency) Network Planning &
Optimization with focus on following areas
- RF Clutter - Survey , Site Survey 
- Interaction with Vendor for Network Planning and Optimization Issues 
- Drive -testing for RF audit and Optimization 
- Supervise Spectrum Management
- Performs RFI (external / internal) and interference ground tracking to
ensure interference-free operation
- Analyses RF service coverage, interference, and transmission reliability
- Knowledge of building materials and their impact on RF transmissions
- Understanding of Antenna design and characteristics (dipole, directional,
high-gain, omni, etc)
- Assessment of signal strength, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), bit rate,
co-channel interference, and environmental noise. 
- Preliminary RF Design through model tuning and CW drive testing 
- Capacity planning, coverage design to include "hot-spots" and in-building
coverage 
- Final RF Design with PN/frequency planning 
- RF site integration through single site functionality testing
(Shakedown/Sector testing) 
- RF optimization through cluster testing and system (ATP) testing 
- Vendors: Motorola, SkyPilot, Redline and others
- Layer 2 networking; TCP/IP; VLANing
- Authentication schemes used in wireless
- Security aspects of wireless technology

Network Operations experience required - specifically in an ISP environment.

Skills: Linux (RedHat/CentOS), Windows, ISP services (DNS, Mail Servers
(Sendmail/postfix/spam assassin/AV), Web, etc), Cisco IOS, Customer Support
skills, VoIP would be nice.

Second Level Support, some EC if required.

Total ISP geek required (not nerd!)

A local would be preferable - the closer the better.

With our busy helpdesk growing quickly, we require casual/part-time shift
works to be located in Gosford on a shift basis.

Skills Required: Excellent Phone manner and being able to effectively solve
user issues in as short a time as possible.  Windows XP, Windows 2000,
Macintosh OSX (advantage, but not required), Browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari),
Office 2000+XP.

Some wireless knowledge would be an advantage, but not required.

Position: Part-time and Casual
Rates: Varying depending on shift and experience

Cisco/Windows Support Manager (Sydney CBD)

This client specialises in the design, integration & ongoing support of LAN,
WAN & VPN solutions for the Small to Medium Business market.

They operate their own Specialist Business Broadband ISP with multiple
upstreams and peering, DNS, web hosting and Hosted MS Exchange as well as
managing a large collection of VPN's, firewalls, servers and routers for our
clients.

The role involves
- Design, configuration and implementation of Cisco routers, firewalls and
VPN devices
- Fault finding & resolution of common networking issues for our customers
- Overall Management of our ISP infrastructure
- Lead a team of 3 engineers and provide assistance with solving complex
problems.
- Help grow our engineering teams skill set
- Initiate and implement internal projects to improve our business
- Liaise with clients about their needs and help turn them into workable
solutions.


The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, career orientated
person, who is committed to further developing their skills & knowledge. A
minimum 1 year practical experience in the Australian market is required.

The minimum skills & qualifications required for this role are:
- Cisco CCNA or better 
- Working knowledge of Cisco IOS with the ability to configure a router from
scratch to terminate a WAN connection
- Working knowledge of Cisco IPSEC tunnels, and crypto 
- Working knowledge of Cisco PIX Firewall appliances
- Outstanding Customer Service Skills
- Excellent written & spoken English 

Desirable skills for this role are:
- MCP or MCSE 2000 or 2003 Certification
- Working knowledge of how to deploy & administer SBS 2003, Windows 2003
Server, Active Directory & Exchange Server 2003 
- VOIP knowledge or experience
- Working knowledge of Linux - how to configure a Linux Firewall / Proxy,
Mail Server and DNS 
- Employment Experience with an Australian ISP or Support Provider 
- Relevant degree from an Australian University (eg: Engineering, Computer
Science etc) or
Relevant diploma / advanced certificate from an Australian TAFE college 

Package is negotiable for the right person, depending on their skills &
experience but $60-80k + Profit Share can be used as a guide.
